The Purpose Of Fellowship and Group Support Is:
•     To provide a sanctuary for new or renewed Christians.
•     To assist in faith and faithfulness through the sharing of their
needs and provide  mentoring about applying God's Word.
•     To establish the Bible as the authority for their life.
discipleship or into a local church of their choosing that has an
effective discipleship or mentoring program.

Who Should Participate:
Those coming to a personal faith in Jesus Christ or have returned to Him
through the ministry of a New Bridge Community Chaplain.  Spouse and
family members are encouraged to participate.

These programs are designed to provide protection for a new found faith that
is often very fragile. The studies are to demonstrate that the Christian life, a
growing faith in God and obedience to His Word, will provide many answers to
the struggles of life.

        Phase I Studies

The first phase may consist of a 13-week introduction to and study of God's
Word.  A valuable aspect of this program is centered on the supporting and
encouraging of each other.  The study can be repeated or extended as needed
or desired by the individuals.

Study materials include the Holy Bible, Basic Principles of Life and Why Do
We Exist.

The meeting format consists of sharing, study and praying.  Homework is on a
voluntary basis.  Reading the Bible is encouraged.  All study and written
lesson work is completed at the meetings.  It is of prime importance to help
these new or renewed Believers to understand the accumulative effect of
unwise decisions and past entanglements from a biblical perspective.  This
will encourage a change in the direction of life and a clearer focus on the
future.

      Phase II Studies

During this phase of study more attention is devoted towards accountability
to each other, improving relations with family and fellow workers, and in
solving personal problems.

      Phase III Studies

Individuals participating in support or fellowship groups are encouraged to a
more responsible relationship within a small group or a church of their
choosing.  The church is also encouraged to give special attention to these
new believers in order to more completely ground them in the faith.
The ministry of New Bridge Community Chaplaincy does not desire to
duplicate or replace the work of the local church.  NBCC is to be a ministry
to and from Christ and His Church.
